LEESBURG — Richard D. Capps, 47, Sommersworth Lane, Indianapolis, was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital Monday, June 21, after a motorcycle crash on East Armstrong Road, west of CR 75E. The crash occurred at 12:03 p.m.

Capps, who was ejected from the motorcycle, was wearing a helmet. He complained of back and wrist pain.

The investigating officer reports Capps was eastbound on Armstrong Road when he lost control of his 2020 Bavarian G31 motorcycle. The motorcycle, which went off the south side of the roadway, struck ornamental landscape with large rocks before coming to stop in a corn field. The landscape was on the property owned by Gregory Noll, 511 E. Armstrong Road, Leesburg.

Damage was estimated up to $10,000.

Plain Township Fire Department, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and Lutheran EMS responded to the scene.
