Driver Airlifted After SR 14 Collision

BURKET — A Silver Lake woman was airlifted with non-life-threatening injuries following an accident outside Burket on Saturday, July 3.
The accident happened at 10:44 a.m. at the intersection of SR 14 and CR 600W in Seward Township.
According to preliminary information from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, April Lloyd, 41, Silver Lake, was traveling southbound on CR 600W, approaching SR 14, in a 2013 Ford Fusion.
Prior to the collision. Lloyd failed to yield to a 2002 Ford Ranger, driven by Amber High, traveling eastbound on SR 14. High’s Ranger struck the passenger side of Lloyd’s Fusion. The vehicles came to rest on the southeast side of the intersection.
Lloyd was airlifted by Parkview Samaritan Air Ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. High was treated and released at the scene. A passenger in her vehicle, Cheryl High, 54, Silver Lake, was transported by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries to the hospital.
Also responding to the scene were the Claypool Police Department, Burket Fire Department, Silver Lake Fire Department and Parkview EMS.
