WARSAW — City of Warsaw residents can help reduce waste and be kinder to the environment by using paper bags to collect yard waste and lawn clippings.

The city banned plastic bags on July 1.

Residents of the City of Warsaw may pick up five free paper bags every month for the remainder of this year at the Public Works Department, 794 W. Center St., Warsaw. Please bring an ID to verify residency within the city. If residents need more paper bags, several local stores have them available for purchase.

When collecting yard clippings and waste, please try to keep each bag below 40 pounds.
