Lorene A. Taylor
Lorene A. Taylor, 92, Warsaw, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021, in Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne.
Born on April 5, 1929, in Cuba, Kan., Lorene was the daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth (Kauer) Tuma. She was united in marriage to Orval J. Taylor June 16, 1948, in Belleville, Kan. who preceded her in passing in 2004.
She was formerly employed at Zimmer Biomet from 1972 to 1976 and at Kosciusko Community Hospital from 2007 to 2008. Lorene enjoyed many activities which included the Red Hat Society, Mellow Aires Singer, and the Pierceton Senior Center. She and was formerly a member of the Teachers Aide, Pierceton Elementary, Pierceton Presbyterian Church, and a county election board member.
Lorene is survived by five sons: Ken (Debbie) Taylor of Pierceton; Larry (Colleen) Taylor of Warsaw; David (Joanne) Taylor of Warsaw; Dan (Kaye) Taylor of Rio Vista, Texas; and Steve (Virginia) Taylor of Portage, Mich. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by her husband Orval Taylor; a sister, Pauline Homolka, and three brothers, Edward, Ernie, and Leroy.
A visitation with Lorene’s family and friends will take place from 10 a.m.-noon Monday, July 19, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, 105 First St. Pierceton. A funeral service in celebration of her life will begin at noon in the Pierceton funeral chapel. Pastor Hal Thomas will be officiating the services. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
Masks are optional, and social distancing is encouraged. No food is permitted at this time.
