YMCA Hosts Free Health Screening Aug. 7
News Release
WARSAW – The Parkview Warsaw YMCA will be hosting a free Community Health Screening Day on Saturday, August 7th from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in Gym 1 and 2.
During this free event, individuals will receive an A1C screening test for pre-diabetes (no fasting required) and a Blood Pressure check from a certified Healthy Heart Ambassador.
“With over 80 million adults across the country living with high blood pressure and 86 million with pre-diabetes we are very thankful to be able to offer these health screenings free, with support from the K21 Foundation and Parkview, to our community,” said Stacy Thomas, director of operations
After the health screenings are completed, YMCA Chronic Disease Prevention staff will go over the results and discuss the next steps.
“The part that is exciting for me is being able to sit down with individuals, go over their results, and help lay out a path to improving their health and wellbeing,” said Tracy Frick – director of healthy living.
Registration is required. You can register online at www.kcymca.org or in person at the Parkview Warsaw YMCA Welcome Center. Take the first step toward better health by registering today.
