Dirt Drags, Tractor And Truck Pull To Kick Off Apple Festival

NAPPANEE — Dirt drags and a tractor and truck pull will kick off the 2021 Nappanee Apple Festival fun.
The KOI Dirt Drags are at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, with gates opening at 5 p.m. at the Nappanee Power From the Past Showgrounds (formerly the Farm at Amish Acres, 1600 W. Market St., Nappanee).
The tractor and truck pull is at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11, with gates opening at 8 a.m. Drawing in competition from the Midwest area, the popularity and participation of the pull has grown annually over the past few years with attendance records being set at each event. Viewers will enjoy 15 classes of pulls.
Admission is $10 per event, with children 10 and under admitted free. Grandstand seating is first-come, first-serve and lawn chairs and blankets are welcome. No outside food and beverages are allowed; concessions are available.
These events are a prelude to the Nappanee Apple Festival weekend, which runs from 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16, to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 19.
