Doubles courts came up big for Valley Monday afternoon in hosting Mishawaka.
The No. 1 team of Annikan Pettit and Cooper Walls put away Lowell Parker and Finn Bobos 6-3, 6-0, and combined with a forfeit for Valley’s No. 2 doubles, the Vikings were on their way. The third point came from Wyatt Reiter, who claimed the No. 3 singles court, four and love, over Christian Nelson.
Mishawaka countered with a two, two win from Jacob Dixon over Dylan Neese and a one, love win from Matt Peletier over Cam Manuel.
Bremen 5, NorthWood 0
It was a straight set blitz by Bremen Monday at DeSantis Courts.
Both Carson Miller and Shay Kyser won in shutouts over Charles Anderson and Wes Steiner. Dawson Hickman used a second set tiebreaker to get past Isaac Roberts, 6-3, 7-6 (4).
Bremen’s one dubs team of Mason Porter and Mariano DeLeon posted a three, two win over Brady Chupp and Chaz Yoder, and Camden Hickman and Jesse Wisler put away Nic Anderson and Karson Kirby one and three.
Sam Holden was a JV winner for NorthWood in a three-set marathon over Seth Neffrover.
