Free Book Tote With New Library Card In Milford

MILFORD— September is national library card sign-up month. To celebrate, the library is giving away a free book tote to everyone who obtains a new library card. Patrons may choose from one of four design choices (pictured above).
Participates must be at least 6 years old and a resident of Van Buren Township or East Jefferson Township to qualify for a free library card. All that is needed is a photo ID and a piece of mail with a current address. Minors, anyone between 6 and 17, need a legal guardian’s signature and photo ID.
The library is also offering non-residential and PLAC cards for a yearly fee. Contact the library if there are any questions regarding non-resident cards. Applications for library cards are processed at the adult circulation desk.
Fall Story Time Session (Virtual)
Join Miss Trisha for fall storytime, a free program for children ages 3-6. There are opportunities to read stories, make a craft, and have a snack together. Packets will include themed crafts and activities, as well as, a yummy snack. Storytime will meet for eight weeks with eight different fun themes. No library card is needed.
- Sign-up starts Sept. 17 at the children’s circulation desk.

- Storytime begins Sept. 29.
- Wednesday’s at 10:30 a.m. on Zoom.
- New craft packets are available on Mondays for weekly theme.

- Nov. 17 – Thanksgiving.
Lego Crew Challenge – Sept.
The library challenges the crew to build a maze. Lego crew is still being done remotely so the crew will make the builds at home and then submit a photo of the finished project to [email protected] by 8 p.m. Sept. 26. Staff will then vote for the winning submission and the winner will receive a new lego kit. No library card is needed. For ages 18 and under.
