KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — Cancer Care Fund of Kosciusko County and K21 Foundation will hold “Dueling Against Cancer” cocktail, dinner and silent auction fundraiser at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 11, at The Owl’s Nest in North Webster. The evening will feature performers from Piano Wars!, a nationally touring entertainment company known as a “premier alternative to generic dueling pianos for nearly 20 years.”
This year marks the first year CCF will hold the “Dueling Against Cancer” event. It promises to be a lively alternative to the gala held in previous years. “We’re trying something new,” said organizer Brittney Niles.
Piano Wars! Entertainment Director David Caruso has earned plaudits for his work throughout Michiana and beyond. Dueling Pianos is two entertainers leading the audience with music and fun. Sing-along, comic bits, song battles, dancing and diverse music styles are all used to engage the audience, making dueling pianos great for all ages and events. The evening will serve up music where you know all the words, from a big variety of styles and eras, performed by master entertainers who know how ignite a crowd.
In addition to Dueling Pianos, the event will also feature a buffet dinner, cash bar and live auction. Items up for auction will include a Bobby Knight signed basketball, a “Happy Gilmore” putter, a chrome nautical side table, Adirondack chairs and much more.
