Tippecanoe Valley Boys 4, Culver Community 0
The Tippecanoe Valley boys finally put together a complete game, raising their record to 3-5-1, as they defeated Culver Community 4-0. The Vikings controlled much of the game, holding possession of the ball well over 60 percent of the match and turning away any Culver threat to score.
Caleb Petgen opened the scoring roughly 12 minutes into the contest, Jon Ruiz and Carson Craft added first half goals staking Valley to a 3-0 cushion at the intermission. The Vikings slammed the door on Culver adding a second half goal by Kevin Mar and playing mart defensive soccer the remainder of the game.
Warsaw Girls 3, Fort Wayne Northrop 0
The Warsaw Lady Tigers earned a 3-0 victory on Senior Night over Fort Wayne Northrop Monday night. While the evening started with the recognition of Warsaw’s talented senior class, it was junior Rylee Burns who found the net three times to earn the hat trick in the win.
Seniors Corissa Koontz and Sam Aalbue each had 2 assists while Macy Wayne contributed one of her own. The defense, led by Jordan Love, Zoe Bergan, Megan DeBoest, Kierstin Parker and goalkeeper Ellie Schenk earned the third straight shutout for the Tigers.
Warsaw moves to 8-4 (4-1 NLC) on the season. The Lady Tigers return to action on Thursday when the play host to the 11th ranked Penn Kingsman Thursday night.
The Lady Tiger JV team continued to dominate with their high-powered offense as they beat Northrop’s JV team 9-0. Natalie Brown registered 4 goals, while Joey Rastrelli (2), Lizzie Martinez, Kaiden Pepper, and Sophie Johnston contributed with goals of their own. Kaiden Pepper had 3 assists, Sophie Johnston had 2, and Joey Rastrelli pitched in with one of her own in the win. Claire German earned the shutout for the Lady Tigers, who will return to the field Thursday evening when they play Penn.
