Panther Hoops Looking To Reinvigorate Basketball League
Press Release
NAPPANEE – After a year off due to the pandemic, the NorthWood boys basketball program is looking to restart its fifth and sixth grade boys basketball intramural league.
The league, intended for all WaNee boys in fifth and sixth grade with ‘acceptable grades and behaviors’ are eligible to play. The league does not cut anyone, and players will be placed on teams following the first handful of practices.
The practices begin in early October with league games starting shortly after. Two participations a week (5:45-7 p.m. on Tuesdays/Thursdays or 9-11 a.m. Saturdays) will set the tone for the season.
Cost is $35 per player, which covers the cost of the team jersey and the referees. The league typically plays a six-game schedule in October and November. A few games will be on Saturday mornings and a few may be during the school week.
