Volleyball Results: Sept. 16
Warsaw 3, Plymouth 0
After a somewhat slow start, Warsaw maintained a 25-18, 25-17, 25-19 win over visiting Plymouth in the Northern Lakes Conference.
Kaylee Weeks put together 10 kills, three blocks and two digs to pace Warsaw, and Avery Hales had 27 assists, six kills, two digs and two blocks. Kylie Smith added 13 digs and five aces.
Warsaw JV also claimed a 25-17, 25-19 win over Plymouth. Daiyha Chupp led the Tigers with 18 assists, nine digs and two blocks.
Concord 3, Wawasee 1
Concord surprised Wawasee with a 25-16, 21-25, 25-14, 25-18 win in Dunlap.
Leslie Vazquez and Dylan Konieczny combined for 17 kills and eight blocks, Konieczny adding 13 digs and two aces. Amanda Allen had 22 assists and Amber Beer added five blocks.
“Felt very confident going into this match and except for some runs we were in it,” stated Wawasee head coach Jeff Phillips. “We have to find a way to play bigger on offense.”
The Wawasee JV claimed a 25-24, 25-13 win. Julie Mishler had five kills and five digs and Sarah Beer five aces for the winners.
In the freshman game, Addie Beasley had four aces and four kills in a 25-22, 13-25, 10-15 loss to Concord.
NorthWood 3, Mishawaka 1
After losing 25-21 in the first game, NorthWood rallied to knock off Mishawaka 25-24, 25-18, 25-19 Thursday night at The Pit.
Big numbers for NorthWood included 20 kills, three aces and two blocks from Sophia Barber, 11 kills and three blocks from Claire Payne, 48 digs and seven aces from Macy Lengacher, and 46 assists and 15 digs from Annika Bennett.
Tippecanoe Valley 3, Manchester 0
The Vikings moved to 5-0 in the Three Rivers Conference with a 26-24, 25-15, 25-22 win over the host Squires.
Ava Smith, Bree Sheetz and Colette Blackburn combined for 17 kills, Erika Henderson had five aces, Brayden Baney dug 17 attempts and Macy Kirchenstien sent up 16 assists.
In the JV match, Valley pulled through with a 25-23, 25-19 win. Emma Patrick had six aces and three kills in the win.
