Tippecanoe Valley Boys 4, Metro Rage 1
The Valley boys soccer team was back in action tonight hosting Metro Rage of Wabash. The Vikings put together another fine performance as they finally broke through and won consecutive games the first time this year with a 4-1 decision.
Valley rode a stingy defense and a pair of goals by Jon Ruiz, and single goals by David Murietta and Tyler Jones to improve their record to 5-6-1. The Vikings controlled the majority of the match and took a 2-0 lead into halftime. Ruiz added his second goal of the night on a penalty kick to extend the Viking advantage to 3-0, before Metro Rage scored cutting the margin to 3-1. Tyler Jones added an insurance goal to complete the scoring.
The Vikings will travel to play Lakeland Christian this Thursday night at 7 p.m. The game will take place at Grace College on Lakeland Christian’s senior night.
