Volleyball Results: Sept. 30
Wabash 3, Tippecanoe Valley 1
In a big Three Rivers Conference matchup, Wabash earned a road win at Valley with a 21-25, 25-11, 25-19, 25-16 result Thursday night.
The Apaches, which sit tied with Valley for second at 6-1 in the TRC standings, only trail Southwood’s 7-0 with two games to go.
The Vikings, which still have matches with Rochester and Southwood on the docket next week, had Ava Smith lead the team with seven kills. Macy Kirchenstien had 15 assists and Brayden Baney had 16 digs and an ace.
The Valley JV pulled out a 25-12, 25-21 win, led by Avery Wagoner’s 11 digs, seven assists and two aces.
Mishawaka 3, Wawasee 0
Wawasee dropped its fifth Northern Lakes Conference match at Mishawaka by a 25-21, 25-12, 25-7 count.
Dylan Konieczny had seven kills for the Warriors, reaching the 500 kill plateau during the match. Leslie Vazquez added 14 digs and two blocks and Amanda Allen had 11 assists in the loss.
Wawasee won the JV contest 25-16, 25-19. Kenzie Hackleman and Julie Mishler combined for 13 digs for the Warriors.
The freshman Warriors lost to Mishawaka 25-21, 17-25, 10-15. Natalie Katzer and Abby Dusek combined for 10 kills in the match.
