BOURBON – Kennedy Krull is going to be a very busy woman in Bourbon in the coming months.
Krull, who was named the new Triton softball coach earlier in the year, was also named the new Triton girls basketball head coach after the Triton board approved her hiring.
Krull becomes the eighth head coach for the Lady Trojans hoops program, and the first female since 1976. Krull was a three-sport stud for Whitko High School from 2013-17, where she was an All-Three Rivers Conference athlete in all three of golf, basketball and softball. She later went on to continue her softball career with Huntington University.
Krull replaces Adam Heckaman, who ran the Triton program for 12 seasons. In that time, Triton won 139 games and a pair of sectional titles in 2011 and 2020, last season the Trojans reaching the regional finals for the first time since the 2003-04 season.
Krull is a social studies teacher at Triton Junior/Senior High School.
