First Friday Exhibit To Benefit Salvation Army
News Release
WARSAW — The Salvation Army will benefit from a special display during Warsaw’s First Friday.
The display promoted as the “Smallest County Fair in the State of Indiana” will be available for viewing by the public on Nov. 5. It may be seen from 5-8 p.m. at KeyBank’s lobby, 119 E. Center St.
The county fair was built and developed by local modeler, Greg Steffe, and some of the rides of the HO scale display are rare.
“Some of these miniature rides come from Europe, so there aren’t many in Indiana,” noted Steffe.
There is no admission to view the fair, but donations will be accepted for The Salvation Army of Kosciusko County, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
Steffe has been working on this miniature fair for many years and enjoys the hobby which is very popular in Germany and other European countries.
“Most people build the midway, but I have developed the whole fairgrounds,” Steffe said. “We hope folks come out and remember the days of fun with the rides and attractions included.”
