Wright To Run For Kosciusko County Recorder
News Release
WARSAW — Deborah A. “Deb” Wright plans to run for Kosciusko County recorder.
Wright, who previously served as recorder from 2007-2014, will run on the Republican ballot in 2022.
She joined the Kosciusko County recorder’s office under Alice Anglin and LaShawn (Brumfield) Love in November 1998.
She has been employed in the recorder’s office for more than 22 years, with more than 18 spent as recorder or chief deputy. During her first term in office, she earned certified county official status through the Association of Indiana Counties (AIC) in partnership with Ivy Tech.
She cites the following as some of her accomplishments while serving as county recorder:
- Cutting expenses by reducing staff as a result of technological improvements that were made and by absorbing deputy wages and benefits into the Recorder’s Perpetuation Fund (RPF, funded by copy revenue and a per-document fee)
- Scanning deed and miscellaneous records prior to 1991, providing easier access to recorded documents.
- Bringing credit/debit card processing to Kosciusko County government offices.
- Introducing electronic recording and online document search and purchase
Wright grew up in the area and lives in Warsaw. She and her husband Andy Wright have one daughter, Raygan Wright.
