On Nov. 17, the leaves will be placed into a drawing. The mandoline and spiralizer set winner will be notified Thursday, Nov. 18, in time for Thanksgiving cooking.
Closures Announced
The library will be closing Wednesday, Nov. 10, for training and have reduced hours on Thursday, Nov. 11, opening from 2-6 p.m. Hours will return to normal, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12.
Exciting Events In The Meeting Room
Children meet at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, in the downstairs meeting room for the homeschool program. The topic will be art. Meanwhile, Toddlers and preschoolers can attend storytime at the same time in the children’s department.
Then at 6 p.m. Nov. 12, writers and poets will be taking center stage for open mic night in the meeting room. Bring your original work or a favorite piece to share. People are also encouraged to come and listen.
Finally, the Geocaching International Film Festival matinee will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, in the downstairs meeting room. This event features videos from geocachers across the globe, some quite funny. G.I.F.F. is an excellent opportunity to meet and share caching tales with fellow geocachers.
