WINONA LAKE — Firefighters with two local departments investigated a report of smoke at Boathouse Restaurant in Winona Lake.

The report came in shortly after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24. Winona Lake Fire Department and Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory responded to the call.

Smoke was reportedly seen from the second floor of the restaurant, located at 700 Park Ave.

A motor in a heater was determined to be the cause of the smoke.

Lutheran EMS and Winona Lake Police Department assisted at the scene.
