Stookey Steps Down From North Webster Library Board

NORTH WEBSTER — North Webster Community Public Library Board of Trustees announces the retirement of Linda Stookey from the board. Having served her four-term limit, Stookey stepped down from the board Dec. 15 after 16 years of service.
Stookey was appointed to the library’s board of trustees in 2005 by Kosciusko County Commissioners. For the last 15 years, she has served as board secretary. A retired educator, she taught elementary school for 32 years and has lived in the North Webster area for over 50 years.
“It’s been a pleasure and honor to serve on the library’s board of trustees,” stated Stookey.
Board President Phil Metcalf stated, “The board of trustees would like to thank Linda for her many years of service on the board and for her dedication to the library’s mission. Linda will be missed, but we wish her the best and know she will still stay active regarding the library.”
North Webster Community Public Library is located is located at 110 E. North Street. It is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. More information about the library and its services can be obtained online at www.nweb.lib.in.us.
