Sleep Away Camp Set At North Webster Library
News Release
NORTH WEBSTER — Summer camps are months away, but your child can send their stuffed animal or doll to Sleep Away Camp at North Webster Community Public Library. Drop off their stuffed animal or doll in the youth department anytime Jan. 5 through Jan. 7 for a fun sleep away camp. Return to the library between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15 to pick up their buddy and watch a slide show of their fun time at camp.
Each toy will be sent home with a photo booklet of their camp adventures. If you can’t make it to the library on Jan. 15, you can pick up your child’s stuffed animal any time the following week and take home a photo packet. Toys will be quarantined after drop off and before pick-up for health safety.
Youth Librarian Pam Long will bring her story time to preschoolers at The Ark Preschool on Tuesday, Jan. 4. She will visit the 3-year-old class at 9 a.m. and return at 1 p.m. to the 4-year-old class. She will visit Sonshine Preschool and Head Start the following week.
The library staff prepares to welcome its new executive director Tyson Wheeler on Monday, Jan. 3. Wheeler comes to North Webster from Tipton County Public Library in Tipton where he has served as public services manager. He describes himself as a confident leader with a passion for libraries and a visionary who understands library trends. “I feel very fortunate to have been given this opportunity to lead North Webster Community Public Library,” stated Wheeler.
