Trails Committee To Hold Community Engagement Meeting
Press Release
It’s an exciting time for the Syracuse-Wawasee Trails Committee, which has a complete feasibility study in hand outlining more than 12 miles of proposed future trail development options potentially doubling the organization’s current trail system.
To keep the community up to speed, the Trails Committee has scheduled a “Community Engagement Meeting” for 6-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 19, at the Syracuse Community Center. This meeting will provide information about the study and future trail development from the committee.
“We need to keep the public in the loop about where we might be headed next so that we can hear peoples’ opinions – plus or minus – about our tentative plans for future trails options,” said Syracuse-Wawasee Trails Executive Director Erlene Yentes. “This meeting, by and large, should help us expedite those plans and expedite related fund-raising strategies. We’ll look forward to seeing the public there.”
