WARSAW — Ben Snyder wants to help with people’s health insurance needs.
“I, one, love to help people,” he said. “I like to be a resource. I love to teach and so when I work in my job I basically help seniors understand their options and I would say there’s good and bad agents out there and I really want to protect seniors from the bad treatment and there’s a lot of it out there. So I just want to be available as a trusted resource and to help people understand what’s available to them and get into good coverage and answer any of their questions.”
Snyder, Warsaw, is a contracted agent for Humana, serving Kosciusko, Wabash and Miami counties. The Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce had a ribbon-cutting for him on Friday, Jan. 28.
Humana’s primary focus relates to Medicare.
“So they’re Medicare supplement plans, also called Medigap, prescription drug plans and then Medicare Advantage plans, so … usually people have a supplement and prescription drug plan or they have an Advantage plan, that’s usually what they have, so I do those and then for any age I do stand-alone vision and dental and then for those on Medicare Advantage plans I’ll also offer indemnity insurance,” he said of the types of insurance he sells.
Snyder’s work hours are primarily 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday though he can be flexible to reach clients. He works out of his home, but can meet up in person at people’s homes or in public if need be.
