Warsaw Community High School’s Speech Team Advancing To State Tournament

WARSAW — The Warsaw Community High School speech team will be heading to a state tournament this weekend.
After a successful season, 11 students will compete at Fishers High School. The following students will be competing in their respective events:
- Jessica Pogue – poetry and humor
- Kylee Anders – drama and prose
- Reagan Polk – original performance
- Jason Benyousky – programmed oral interpretation
- Keely Roe – impromptu and United States extemporaneous
- Adaline Anders – broadcasting
- Grace Ganser – broadcasting and duo
- Var Bobba – duo
- Kylah Cook – poetry
- Michael Webster – discussion
- Griffin Roe – international extemporaneous
Amelia Anders nearly missed getting into the finals but did a great job competing as a freshman.
On top of the state competition, Warsaw was able to qualify four students to the National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) national tournament in Louisville, Ky. Those students are:
- Kylee Anders – drama
- Jessica Pogue – humor
- Jason Pogue – programmed oral interpretation
- Keely Roe – Untied States extemporaneous
Three students were also named members of the All District Team: Kylee Anders, Jessica Pogue, and Jason Benyousky.
