WARSAW — Sauparno Saha was the winner of the 2022 spelling bee at Harrison Elementary School.

Runner-up was Jonah Burgher. The deciding word was “desperate.”

Spelling bee participants included Elijah Inskeep-Shelton, Barrett Hoderek, Bower Willig, Dylan Mora Munoz, Judea Adkins, Cade Boyd Benard, Sofia Velazquez, Hudson Roler, Addison Flores, Reagan Edwards, J.J. Kammerer, Abigail Gordon, CeCe Mesman, and Destiny Uriostegue.

Both Saha and Burgher received trophies thanks to Renekers Custom Apparel and Awards.

Harrison Elementary Principal Matt Deeds served as the emcee and announcer. Honorary guest judges included Claypool Elementary School Principal Missy Rees; Leesburg Elementary School Principal Nate Polston; and Warsaw Community School Board President Heather Reichenbach.
