WARSAW — The City of Warsaw Board of Public Works & Safety on Friday, March 18, approved the promotions of two division commanders within the police department.

Detective Lt. Paul M. Heaton is being promoted to the rank of detective division captain and Detective Sgt. Bradley J. Kellar is being promoted to the rank of patrol division captain.

Both will be tasked with supervising and directing all police personnel within their respective divisions.

Both Heaton and Kellar obtained bachelor’s degrees in criminal justice from Grace College and will bring more than 38 years of combined law enforcement experience into their new leadership roles.

Kellar will continue to maintain the responsibilities of public information officer.  

The promotions will take effect Sunday, March 20.
