- after the parade – Claypool United Methodist Church will have kids’ games, events and kettle corn at the Lions Club building. Echoes of the Past will also be at the Lions Club building with homemade ice cream.
- 1-3 p.m. – Car and tractor shows will take place, with cars on Main Street and tractors on Railroad Street. Awards for the car show will be presented at 4 p.m., and tractor show awards will be presented at 3:30 p.m.

“This is a good start for the first one (festival) in a while,” said Archer.
“It’ll be a great thing for the town, the kids, the people,” said Council President Benny Stage Jr.
In other business, Claypool Town Marshal Ben Sanders announced that multiple railroad crossings in town will be closed from June 1 to 10. These include the Main Street, Calhoun Street, Section Street and Graceland Avenue crossings. The crossing at Clay Street will remain open and will be the only accessible crossing in town during that timeframe.
Norfolk Southern will be replacing rails and fixing crossing grades.
Claypool Council’s next meeting is at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, in the Lions Club building.
