WARSAW — The Solid Waste Management District approved a quote from Great Lakes Chloride for dust control at several of the district’s recycling sites during a May 24 meeting.

Recycling Depot Director Tom Ganser said dust control work would take place at the district’s North Webster, Syracuse and Warsaw sites. The quote totaled $1,300.

“We’ve never sprayed before, but it is becoming a problem,” said Ganser regarding dust at the three sites.

Leslie Wilson, Kosciusko County Recycling Depot’s new education, outreach and marketing coordinator, was also introduced to the board. Ganser said Wilson began working on May 9.

“She already has a couple appointments scheduled for education in summer programs,” said Ganser. “Leslie is jumping straight in.”

The board’s next meeting is at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 21.
