Fulton County Warrant Leads To Drug Arrest

PERU — A warrant served by Indiana State Police troopers on Thursday, May 26, resulted in the arrest of Joshua Coman, 25, Peru.
Around 10:10 p.m. Thursday, May 26, Senior Trooper Andrew Baldwin led a team of state troopers to serve Coman with a Fulton County arrest warrant at his residence on 2934 S. Miami County Road 300S, Trailer No. 170. Inside, they found Coman and evidence of illegal drug use. Officers applied for and were granted a Miami Superior Court One search warrant for the residence.
During a further search of the residence, officers allegedly found methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, a syringe, and items of drug paraphernalia.
Coman was incarcerated in the Miami County Jail and will face criminal charges for possession of a narcotic drug, possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, possession of a syringe, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia. He also had an active arrest warrant for theft, issued from Fulton County.
Shily Sloan, 28, who also lived at the residence with Coman, was issued a summons for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
Baldwin was assisted with the search warrant by ISP Sergeant Andrew Smith, Trooper Abigail Russell, Trooper Derek Rine, and Miami County Sheriff’s Officer Alex Wolfe.
