BREMEN — The Indiana State Police are asking anyone with information as a victim or a witness of incidents at New Life Christian Church and World Outreach, Warsaw, to contact them.
ISP is investigating the church after its former pastor, John B. Lowe II, told the congregation on May 22 that he “committed adultery.” However, after Lowe addressed the congregation, a woman spoke to the group and said she was 16 when the acts occurred. She also accused the church of covering the incidents up for 27 years.
A video of Lowe and the woman’s statements to the congregation was posted on Facebook and, as of June 1, has about 973,000 views. The video went viral, with national news outlets picking up the story.
Since the video, multiple people have come forward with testimonials about alleged abuse connected to the Lowe family, as well as with other individuals connected to the church. One woman, Jessi Kline, spoke with InkFreeNews about Lowe’s son, Jeremiah Lowe, molesting her.
About 20 protesters gathered in the church’s vicinity on May 29, advocating for the closure of New Life and the support of the church’s victims.
Anyone with information on incidents at New Life is encouraged to contact the ISP Bremen Post Criminal Investigations Division at (574) 546-4900.
