Antique And Classic Boats At Oakwood Today

SYRACUSE — “Class of ’32,” “Eleanor”, “Tonka Toy” and many other antique and classic boats can be seen until 3 p.m. today, Saturday, June 11, at the Wawasee Boat Show at the pier at Oakwood Resort, Syracuse. Several other boats can be viewed on the lawn near the inn.
Approximately nine wooden boats glistened in the morning sun, as they arrived for the day’s show.
Among the boats was a 1939 22-foot Chris Craft with a Hercules M engine, a 1962 23-foot Chris Craft “Holiday” with a 283 V-8 engine that is the 10th boat out of only 40 made, a 1931 24-foot Chris Craft Triple with a new 350 V8 engine, a 1949 Chris Craft Sportsman Sedan that was the 196th boat produced out of the 369 hulls built between 1946-1949 and many others.
