Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 7:35 a.m. Thursday, June 16, West CR 900N, west of North SR 15, Milford. Drivers: Isaac N. Trautmann, 27, Windsor Street, Nappanee; and Anthony W. Diehm, 55, North CR 875E, Mill Creek. Trautmann’s vehicle hit Diehm’s. Damage: Up to $10,000.
- 5:11 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, South Country Club Road and East Winona Beach Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Elena S. Olarte Crawford, 18, Charles Street, Winona Lake; Douglas S. Olarte Crawford, 21, Charles Street, Winona Lake; William L. Guy, 42, South CR 100E, Claypool; and Christine E. Hofer, 42, South Stonebridge Road, Warsaw. Elena Olarte Crawford was traveling too fast and didn’t realize that Douglas Olarte Crawford’s vehicle was stopped in traffic. Her vehicle hit his, causing his vehicle to hit Guy’s and Guy’s vehicle to hit Hofer’s. Damage: Up to $25,000.
- 2:07 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, East Koher Road South, east of North Hammond Lake Road, Cromwell. Drivers: Thomas M. McDowell, 52, Oak Pointe Crossing, Warsaw; and Charity F. Niles, 34, Sandpoint Road, Fort Wayne. Due to a tree blocking the roadway, McDowell attempted to back up his vehicle. He backed into Niles’ vehicle, which he didn’t realize was behind him. Niles was issued a citation for driving while suspended – infraction. Damage: Up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 1:57 p.m. Friday, June 17, US 30 and North Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Neal W. Mabon, 61, West CR 250S, Warsaw; and Dana A. Winkle, 26, Normandy Drive, Michigan City. Mabon’s vehicle hit the back of Winkle’s. Damage: Up to $5,000.
- 9:53 a.m. Friday, June 17, North SR 15 and East Main Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Martha Woods Fearn, 76, South CR 400W, Warsaw; and Mary C. Parr, 72, Avalon Court, Winona Lake. Woods Fearn’s vehicle hit Parr’s. Woods Fearn complained of pain and was transported to the hospital for evaluation. Damage: Up to $10,000.
- 3:08 a.m. Friday, June 17, 801 E. Center St., Warsaw. Driver: Unknown. A vehicle hit a pole on the property at 801 E. Center St., Warsaw. The male driver left the scene without notifying the business of the collision. Damage: Up to $5,000.
- 11:08 p.m. Friday, June 10, East CR 250N, east of North CR 100E, Warsaw. Driver: Adam R. Nelson, 17, Grand Street, Ligonier. Nelson said he was unfamiliar with the area and didn’t see a stop sign or that it was a T intersection until the last minute. He said shrubbery was covering the view of a stop sign, which a responding officer also noticed. He tried to make a left turn, but was unsuccessful and his vehicle hit a pole. Nelson complained of minor pain to his head, chest and shoulder and was checked out on scene by medics. His front seat passenger was transported to the hospital after complaining of pain over his entire body. His back seat passenger was treated on scene for pain and minor bleeding on his knee. Damage: Up to $10,000.

Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 5:50 a.m. Saturday, June 11, CR 29 and CR 46. Driver Kelly Crist, 40, Warsaw. Hit deer.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 10:59 p.m. Thursday, June 16, South SR 17 and West CR 100S, Kewanna. Driver: Joseph J. Seno, 42, Kewanna. Hit deer.
