Claypool Red, White And Blue Festival Is Saturday
Staff Report
CLAYPOOL — Claypool’s Red, White and Blue Festival is Saturday, June 18.
The event will include a firemen’s breakfast, parade, car and tractor shows and more.
It’s organized by Ken and Jamie Archer, the owners of Someplace Else Saloon in Claypool.
Ken said he believes it’s the first time in 20 years that the town has had such a festival. As Claypool will celebrate its sesquicentennial next year, the couple hopes that this year’s event is a precursor to next year’s celebration.
Ken said the festival’s aim is “just bringing the community back together,” referring to Claypool as “the small town with a big heart.”
In addition to various activities, there will also be food provided by Someplace Else Saloon, Shooting Star Farm and the Cub Scouts. Ken encourages people to bring their lawn chairs out for the festival.

- 8 a.m. – Claypool Fire Department will host a firemen’s breakfast.
- 10 a.m. – Parade lineup will begin at Claypool Elementary School.
