Holcomb To Attend Groundbreaking For South Shore Double Track

MICHIGAN CITY — Gov. Eric Holcomb will join federal, state and local partners to celebrate the start of construction for the South Shore Double Track project.
The expansion is one of the largest public transit investments in Indiana’s history, which will result in unmatched economic growth for the region and the state.
The groundbreaking will take place at 10 a.m. CT, Monday, June 20, at 11th and Franklin St., Michigan City.
Holcomb, Sen. Todd Young, Rep. Frank Mrvan, former U.S. Rep and Chairman of Gary/Chicago International Airport, Pete Visclosky and FTA Region 5 Regional Administrator, Kelley Brookins will be in attendance.
