WARSAW — Warsaw’s first major Central Park concert in nearly three years will arrive Friday night, June 17, under ideal weather conditions.
Jefferson Starship (Find Your Way Back,” “Count On Me,” and “We Built This City On Rock And Roll”) is this year’s headliner for the annual Rockin’ For Riley Concert. They’ll take the stage at the Central Park Glover Pavilion at 8 p.m. The opening act, Roanoke, will start the show off at 6:30 p.m.
The concert is free. About a dozen food trucks and vendors will be available.
Dozens of lawn chairs were already positioned across parts of the park ahead of time by 8:30 a.m.
After two days of excessive heat, Friday’s forecast predicts sunny skies and a high near 83. Conditions will be clear and cool at night with a low of 54.
The most recent major Central Park concert was the country concert in 2019 featuring Montgomery Gentry. The most recent rock concert was Little River Band in June 2019.
Sponsors for the concert are 107.3 WRSW, Zimmer Biomet and Medtronic.
