AKRON — The Jim Bucher Memorial Car Show will take place as part of the Akron Fourth of July festivities.

It’s from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, July 3, along North Virgil Street at Pike Memorial Park, near the north water tower.

Bucher, who passed away earlier this year, helped organize the car show during the Akron Fourth of July. He had been manager at the Warsaw Motor Speedway in the past.

Registration starts at 1 p.m. There’s a $10 cost to enter a vehicle in the show.

Awards are at 4 p.m. The top 25 vehicles will get plaques, and the 100th vehicle to enter wins $100. There will also be door prizes for participants.
