Black Pine Renews Accreditation With Global Federation
News Release
ALBION — Black Pine Animal Sanctuary recently announced its achievement in renewing its accreditation with The Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries.
The mission of GFAS is to continuously improve the quality of care for animals requiring sanctuary by:
- Accrediting sanctuaries based on worldwide standards of excellence
- Facilitating operational and financial support
- Enhancing effectiveness, recognition and collaboration
They currently accredit 212 groups, which encompass over 25,000 animals across 18 countries.
Black Pine is a nonprofit organization and is the only accredited multi-species sanctuary in the Midwest. This is huge because it means that they are able to provide specific care to many kinds of animals.
