Ivy Tech Offering Two New Scholarships

WARSAW — Ivy Tech has announced two new scholarships.
The Ivy Tech Foundation at Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne and Warsaw has received an endowed gift from the estate of Mark M. Suedhoff to establish The Mark M. Suedhoff Endowed Success Scholarship and The Mark M. Suedhoff Endowed Scholarship — Chancellor’s Merit Award. The full gift amounts to $2,161,496.91. Suedhoff valued higher education, and Ivy Tech was the community college of his choice. Both scholarships will be awarded in Fall 2022.

Suedhoff,” said Tracina Smith, executive director of the Ivy Tech Foundation in Fort Wayne. “It is Ivy Tech’s mission to create affordable opportunities for career advancement through education. These unique endowed scholarships will create a tangible, lasting impact on the lives of students in northeast Indiana. We’re so pleased that Mark Suedhoff recognized the value in Ivy Tech’s quality programs, and his legacy gift will support further access across our community.”
The Mark M. Suedhoff Endowed Success Scholarship is for Ivy Tech Fort Wayne and Warsaw students seeking a certificate, technical certificate and/or associate degree. If degree seeking, students must be enrolled in 12 credit hours per semester. Students must have high school diploma or equivalent; they do not need to be FAFSA eligible to be considered.
The Mark M. Suedhoff Endowed Scholarship — Chancellor’s Merit Award will be awarded annually to two, first-time, Ivy Tech Fort Wayne and Warsaw students seeking their first associate degree. Students must have a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher and be a high school graduate within the same year of the receiving the award. Students must apply to Ivy Tech Fort Wayne and Warsaw and must be accepted by the scholarship deadline to be eligible. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours during the Fall and Spring semester. FAFSA eligibility is not required for consideration.
