Marshall County Homicide Victim Identified

PLYMOUTH— Marshall County Sheriff’s Office reported the homicide victim found Saturday, June 18, has been identified as Martez Roberts, 38, Benton Harbor, Mich.
Roberts’ body was found on 20th Road, west of SR 331, near the Tippecanoe River crossing.
Roberts had been reported missing since June 10. He was last seen in the Benton Harbor area. The investigation into his death remains open.
Roberts’ body was discovered at approximately 11:15 p.m. Saturday, June 18. He was found wearing white pants and white T-shirt with no shoes. An autopsy on June 20 showed he suffered multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide.
Through information gathered while working with various police agencies, police believe the shooting occurred in an out-of-state location and his body was abandoned in rural Marshall County.
Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety continue to gather information regarding Roberts’ death.
