ATWOOD — One person was taken to a hospital following a two-vehicle accident near Atwood.

The wreck happened shortly before 5 p.m. on Monday, June 27, along US 30 near CR 500W. According to Atwood Fire Department Assistant Chief Scott Shepherd, a person involved in the accident was taken to the hospital.

He got out through the window of his vehicle after it overturned, said Shepherd.

No other information is known at this time. The accident follows another one in the area that occurred less than two hours before.
