WARSAW — Doma aims to provide “a good experience for everyone” who uses the title agency’s services.
That’s in the words of the national chain’s state managing director Laura Ormsby.
The Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce had a ribbon-cutting on Monday, July 11, at Doma’s Warsaw location at 2170 North Pointe Drive.
The company has been in Warsaw for five years, but moved to the above address in June 2021.
“We did not have a re-grand opening when we moved to this location because we were rebranding at the same time, so we just wanted to do it all together,” said Ormsby regarding Monday’s celebration.
The company, previously known as North American Title, changed its name to Doma, which means domicile or home in Latin.
Ormsby detailed the company’s services, including checking for liens and facilitating closing on properties.
“When we do a closing, it is an insured closing, so if a mistake has been made, we are liable,” she added.
She noted customer service and technology set the agency apart from its competition.
“We have a lot of technology coming that’s not here as of yet, instant underwriting,” said Ormsby. “The founder and CEO’s vision for the future is just to make the process an easier, smoother experience for the consumer. They’re trying to retrain us to consider the consumer or customers as opposed to the realtors and lenders and consider those business partners because they feel that not enough attention is paid to the consumer, so just to make sure that the consumer’s experience is excellent along with our partners.”
