Press Release
WARSAW — The 900 block of Main Street in Warsaw is closed due to a large honeybee infestation.
The City of Warsaw sent out a press release on Tuesday, July 26, letting people know of the infestation. However, what was originally believed to be hornets was discovered to be honeybees.
The city’s public works department was trimming trees in the area when they encountered a very large infestation in one of the trees.
The block is to remain closed until the bees can be removed. Following removal of the bees, the road will reopen, but the sidewalk will remain closed until tree trimming is complete.
Residents in that block have been notified and assisted with access.
