FULTON — On Saturday, July 30, the town of Fulton celebrated “Fulton Fun Day,” an all-day festival featuring numerous sporting events, arts, crafts and food vendors and a parade with the theme “Color Our World with Hope,” which attracted roughly 45 entries. The festival was sponsored by Fulton-Liberty Lions Club and was located primarily in Liberty Township Park.
Athletic activities during the day included mushball, softball, cornhole, horseshoe and 3-on-3 basketball tournaments as well as a 5K Race/Walk, free throw and three-point contests. Other events included a pedal tractor pull, chalk art contest, bingo, euchre tournament and demonstrations by Blue Dragon Taekwondo and the Caston High School robotics team.
Attendees also enjoyed a dunk tank featuring numerous well-known community members, craft and food vendors, bounce house, karaoke and a performance by the NightShift. In addition, Fulton Public Library held a book sale and displayed art made by elementary schoolers as part of the festival’s coloring and drawing contest.
