Warsaw Optimist Club Golf Outing Sep. 20
News Release
WARSAW — The 15th annual Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club Golf Outing is an excellent opportunity to have a great time while supporting the youth of the community.
The event will take place Tuesday, Sep. 20, at Stonehenge Golf Course, Winona Lake. Through the community’s generosity, the Optimist Club has raised over $110,000 to support programs for local youth through their annual golf outing.
Registration starts at 11 a.m., and participants will have a chance to putt for a cash prize in a contest sponsored by Lake City Bank and enjoy a lunch cooked on-site by Sodexo. A shotgun start will kick off the outing at 1 p.m.
Prizes will include hole-in-one sponsors, who have provided the opportunity to win various prizes including a vehicle provided by 24/7 Cars; an ATV by Loose Moose Motorsports; a golf cart by Elliott’s Custom Trailers & Carts; and a tool box by Napa Auto Parts. A $100 gift card donated by Oak and Alley will be awarded for the longest drive. Prizes will also be given to the winning team and the team with the highest score.
New this year, there will be a raffle of a special bourbon basket. The basket contains a Badash Crystal decanter with four cocktail glasses from Warsaw Cut Glass, a 750ml bottle of Single Barrel Blanton’s Bourbon and a 1.75L bottle of Weller Special Reserve Wheated Bourbon. This basket is valued at over $600 and will be raffled off on the day of the event.
Tickets sell for $20 each or 6 for $100, and can be purchased in advance from a Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club member or on the day of the event at Stonehenge.
