WARSAW — Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory’s board approved several fund transfers in the fire territory’s operating fund during a Sept. 6 board meeting.

WWFT Chief Garrett Holderman requested permission to transfer $40,000 from the machinery and equipment fund to operating supplies. This transfer will help with operating costs, particularly fuel.

Holderman also requested $15,000 be transferred from the other capital outlays fund to the communication and transportation section, as well as a transfer of $5,000 from professional services to other services and charges.

The board approved transferring the monies. A resolution regarding the transfer will be presented to Warsaw’s Common Council during their meeting on Sept. 6.

In other business, WWFT’s board heard that the Dive Rescue International classes, which were hosted locally in August, went very well. Aside from area firefighters and police officers, emergency personnel from departments in Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, and Lansing, Mich., were also in attendance.

The board’s next meeting is at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4.
