Wheels On Fire Pancake Breakfast Sells Out
News Release
MENTONE — Beaver Dam United Methodist Church’s Wheels On Fire-Cancer Crusaders’ pancake breakfast on Saturday, Sept. 10, sold out.
The group served pancakes and sausage to the community at the Mentone fire station to raise funds for local cancer patients. Mentone firemen kept the griddles hot and the pancakes and sausage coming all morning to feed the hungry crowd. Members of the Wheels On Fire team served up coffee, milk and orange juice and refilled plates.
Before the morning was over, the firemen had prepared three cases of pancake mix and four cases of sausage links. Wheels On Fire estimates they served approximately 150 people on Saturday. The event raised close to $3,200 to help those in need.
Wheels On Fire was established to help those who are fighting cancer. Patients who need financial assistance can find help at the Kosciusko and Fulton County cancer care funds.
