WCHS Homecoming Parade Is Sept. 23

WARSAW — Warsaw Community High School Student Council will hold its annual homecoming parade at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23.
The parade will consist of the WCHS official homecoming court and floats featuring the diverse range of clubs and sports at WCHS.
The 2022 homecoming float theme is 50 U.S. States. Spectators are encouraged to dress as a tourist visiting the various states represented by each float.
The grand marshal for this year is Barbara Beck. Barbara recently retired from WCHS after working in the Media Center. Barbara Beck helped countless students write papers, complete research and discover their love for reading.
The parade will start at the WCHS PAC parking lot, where it will proceed to Union Street. It will then turn right onto Market Street and later turn left onto Indiana Street. The route will then turn left onto Main Street and continue left onto Columbia Street. The parade will end at the corner of Columbia and Market streets.
Candy will be tossed along the route.
This year’s homecoming football game against Mishawaka will begin at 7 p.m. at the WCHS Fisher Field. The homecoming court will be announced at halftime. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate.
