Public Hearing Set For Acquisition Of Claypool’s Water Utility

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission will conduct a public evidentiary hearing in Indianapolis regarding Indiana American Water acquiring Claypool’s water utility.
The hearing will be held at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 30, in Room 222 of the PNC Center, 101 W. Washington St., Indianapolis. This hearing is open to the public.

Aside from the acquisition, the hearing will also discuss approval of accounting and rate base treatment; approval of the rates and charges for water service in the area serviced by the Claypool operation; approval of application of IAW’s rules and regulation for water service to the Claypool water system; application of IAW’s depreciation accrual rates to such acquired properties; and the subjection of the acquired properties to the lien of IAW’s mortgage indenture.
