WARSAW — A Warsaw woman will serve four years in prison on two criminal cases.
In the first case, Lee Ann Lowrance, 38, Warsaw, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 5 felony. She was also charged with burglary, a level 4 felony, in a second case. Twelve additional criminal charges, as well as a methamphetamine possession case, were all dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
Lowrance was sentenced in Kosciusko Circuit Court on Monday, Nov. 7.
For methamphetamine possession, Lowrance was sentenced by Kosciusko Circuit Court Judge Michael Reed to two years in the Indiana Department of Correction. She also received a two-year DoC sentence for burglary. Both counts will run consecutively and will also run consecutively to a case involving a probation violation. Reed recommended Lowrance for participation in Recovery While Incarcerated as part of her prison sentence.
In September 2020, a search warrant was executed at a Warsaw residence where Lowrance resided. This followed several controlled narcotic purchases and months of covert surveillance. Drugs seized during the search warrant included methamphetamine, morphine, marijuana, heroin and fentanyl.
In December 2020, Lowrance broke into a home.
At sentencing, Defense Attorney Jay Rigdon said Lowrance has taken positive steps, but still has progress to make.
“I made a lot of bad decisions,” said Lowrance. “I’m an addict, and I need help.”
