Syracuse Public Library — Plushie Sleep Over Ends Next Week

SYRACUSE — A busy week finishes up with plushies coming to the Syracuse Public Library Friday, Nov. 18. Children bring their stuffed friend to the library on Friday, watch their plushie on Instagram or Facebook and return them home Saturday.
Storytime meets on Wednesday morning for crafts, songs and stories. Also, at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 16, home-schoolers are exploring photography with their smartphone or camera.
After school at 4 p.m. on Mondays, the LEGO club gets together to build.
Young Adults
The Young Adult Department is playing Doctor Who Monopoly on Wednesday’s game night. The game spans the universe, with play starting at 4 p.m. Nov. 16.
Color and Chill is a new time to relax with a variety of coloring sheets to choose from and plenty of pencils and pens for the coloring pages.
Study hall, quiet time and help happens every Monday from 4-6 p.m. in the Rosalyn Jones Room.
Adults Through The Week
Mahjong is meeting at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Monday’s Mahjong is replaced with a board game sampler at 1 p.m. These are good opportunities for friendly mind challenges.
Mystery and suspense writing is the focus of the November book club when Agatha Christy’s “Miss Marple” will be discussed. The Zoom club is perfect for those wanting to meet with a book group without leaving home. Request an invitation at [email protected] to Zoom at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15. An in-person discussion will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17.
The Workshop Group welcomes fellow writers to the monthly meeting at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19.
